well this is the finished painting of roses that i did for a friend of mine…. i think she likes it! 
and she has a few more she wants me to do for her … i’m excited to do it…. painting is my first love (in art that is)
she would like a painting somthing like the first picture below of a medieval town here in germany…. i guess we’ll see where it goes… i brought the painting to her at church and another friend saw it and is interested in getting a painting as well…. she would like the neuschwanstein castle….

this is gonna be a long post for once , at least as far as pictures go…. tonight i just finished up two paintings and i also did a background on one painting…. so first things first …. i recently posted this painting which has now led me to create this painting which ive named reaching higher…

and this last picture is just an idea i had to crumple some wax paper and
then spread it open and paint with mixed colors, and i then printed my gessoed canvas
and let dry…. made a very very cool effect…..
so i’m done, i’m pooped…. hope your having fun!

made a little change to my blog… one thing i miss about blogger is changing the background! Well i certainly didn’t get this picture in here right but at least you can still see what i was playing around with… i’m also almost dont with my rose painting… i’m so happy you guys like my little believing collage in the post before last…. she’s cute i suppose… anyways with this little picture i painted it and altered it with the gimp program… gave it a little glow

Stayed up late working on this… did it all in one night! entered it into a show online… we’ll see what happens. was so fun! i tried a few new things i’ve not done before… and i learned that i don’t like some of the things i tried… for example i don’t like watercolors pencils… at all. I’ve now decided they just don’t work with my style or do what i want them to do. does anyone need some perfectly good watercolor pencils? maybe we could trade… anyways… this is called the magic of believing……
chimney sweeper luck

So one of the first things somone told us when we moved here is that chimney sweepers are good luck. if you see one , you should go up to them and touch them on the arm, and that will bring you luck for the year. the entire three years we’ve lived here in germany we’ve had the same cute young guy come to check somthing or another in the attic and basement of our house, but i never got a picture of his little truck until this week. i thought it must be doubley good luck to have him do his bi-annual visit the same week and st. patrick’s day…. right? so there is his little truck… and to continue on the green theme here is a piece i did last year and sent in to my favorite magazine … it just came back today!

that’s what happens to the pictures, the colors, you! just playing around with gimp!… i love this program… there is so much you can do with it! a plethora of things to do with it…
this is one of my favorits pics of my oldest son that i alienized….
i can’t remember what i did with this one but it started out as a black and white of my daughter… and she mulitplied and colorized…
and this is one of my favorite views from my back porch… my nieghbors took down all that foliage growing on the side of the house last summer… in the fall it would just be gorgeous…
