well it may have been awhile but i have to take advangtage of the nice weather when we get it here in germany. its been sunny and gorgeous and warm almost non-stop for two weeks!  now this doesnt mean i haven’t been a creative little lady…. i have!  here are a couple pages in my visual journal, some are done and some are not.  they are bright in the light and make quite a sight!  i’ve been reading a lot of dr. suess to the kinder lately…..

also i made a bunch of ART TAGS and put them in my scrappy shop , so if you wanna see those you have to check it out!  have you guys ever gone to the section in etsy where you can POUNCE?  i’ve been doing that lately and have found some awsome art, artists, jewelry and bags.  those are the things i like the most on etsy.  oh and all the cupcakes!  mmmmm…. also another awsomely fun way to find somthing new is when you find a cool little shop you like , then go to their favorites, either their favorite items or shops, and your sure to find somthing you havent seen before.

 so i’ve decided to break my etsy shop up and have two shops… i dont want to stop painting just because nobody has noticed my art yet, but it seems people like my little books and tags a lot, hence the division.  so now you can check out little journals like the newest one above “White Tea Journal” , at My Scrappy Store, and paintings , like this new one below “Beyond The Clouds”, which isnt quite finished yet, at The New Store.

Also I was tagged by Michelle to tell 6 odd quirky things about me.

1.)  I always write things on my hands.  I forget really easy , really really easy, so you can always read about somthing, on my hand.  I hate writing on little papers cause i always loose them.  Don’t try to give me your number or email on paper, if we ever meet, cause you’ll never hear from me that way.

2.)  I love bellbottoms… i don’t actually have any anymore, and i’m too young for it to be because i’m from that generation, but i just like them.  i get a lot of jeans from from old navy and american eagle, #1 because they’re the only stores who carry jeans long enough for me, but also because they make them with that little flare. 

3.)  I will answer the phone everytime even if the number doesnt show up, and i flip out just a little, when i miss a call.  its a long story….

4.)  I can’t stand it when somone sucks their fingers.  it’s ok to suck your thumb but it irks me GREATLY when somone sucks their fingers, even if its just to get that last little bit of chocolate out of the bowl , or whatever.

5.)  i hate putting laundry away.  my hubby is gone right now so its ok that there’s tons of cleans laundry in piles all over my bedroom, because i dont mind cleaning and drying it one bit, just can’t ever seem to put it where it needs to go….

6.)  now i will contradict myself a bit.  things need to be put where they’re supposed to go… they just have to.  (except laundry)  its irks me again when there are books piled somwhere , but not put back on the shelf, or mail put in the wrong spot in the wrong room, or WORST OF ALL, when the discs dont get put back into the dvd cases and then you get this big pile near the tv of discs on top of cases on top of discs on top of cases…. aaaaaaaaaaack!

so it’s been awhile … i know i know…. i’m telling its not fun trying to take of three homeschooling kiddies while your not feeling the best.  so i found out i dont have strep throat, but that means i dont know whta i have … it still hurts to swallow and i’m pretty sure i’ve lost 5lbs from not being able to eat much… but i dont like doctors , and its not like they offered me any help for whatever my problem really is….

anyways… i’m doing a couple fun swaps!  i’ve finished my wizard of oz swap and like a dork i didn’t take a pic of it been i’ll show you my pages when the book comes back sometime in june i think.  also there is a cool little ATC swap going on over a Alchemy Studios.  Robin is so cool , very nice.  she also has an awsome zine and well there just might be a little of my art in it… check it out! 

so the pics are because i joined in on a Craft Space Challenge that Michelle over at Faerie Dust Dreams is doing…. i’m showing my whole mess.  i’ve actually been wanting to get this THING organized while my hubby is gone , and challenges are always fun to join.  So my little table and art closet , share the same room as our beloved parrot FRITZ, and the homeschooling area.  as long as my stuff doesnt get spread too far out in the room then it stays fairly fuzz free (parrots have lots of fluff that flies everywhere) and i dont hinder the homeschooling day with clutter.  ive had to get rid of a lot of stuff… i recycled and gave away and used it up if i could… i dont feel like i need a lot of junk anymore now that i think i’m finding my niche.  anyways… theres my junky area and junky closet and my bird!  oh! and one of my inspiration walls…

well i guess the kids gave me pink eye… and i have strep throat!  or i possibly have strep throat…. ugh and my baby has an ear infection! his first ever… ugh ugh ugh…. anyways.. i’m still dabbling a little in art and i recently made a sale in my shop, i sold my little 2×2inch journal.  i call them doodling journals , they’re small!  but they lady who bought it said she was gonna use it for her inchies!!!  duh!  perfect! so if you have lots of inchies i still have 4 little journals in my shop.  i also wanted to show my next project… i’m altering the covers of old books… i plan to add a little hangy thing to this one.   

not much to say…..i did want to show what our day looked like here today … some journal pages…. and the charm swap charms …. other than that … have a lovely day

so i’ve altered books, and i’ve altered kids books, and i’ve made little skinny altered notebooks, but i’ve only ever made ONE visual journal and it’s 100% personal…. it’s from a very blue time in my life and it actually has the title “The Blue’s Cure”.  so lately i’ve been really really wanting to journal more… i’ve gotten so many good ideas from my sketches but i really want more of the art i make to be just for me.  so this is my newest journal…. there’s no cover yet… i’m looking for a nice old book cover that i can add to it but i can’t find the right size yet…. all i did was a take a TON of water color paper and bind it with two big key chain thingys.  so far the pages i’ve made have just the bare-bones of what they will eventually become….

Please help me start a prayer chain for my daughter in law Mica at Folk Art Dolls by Mica Garbarino.As most of you know she had a birthday last Saturday but was ill and could not enjoy the day. She had an ear infection and was seen by the ER doctors and they said she had an inner ear infection, gave her oral antibiotics and sent her home.I spoke with Mica on Monday and she said she was not any better and the pain was unbearable! I spoke with her again this evening and she is no better . She is still in a lot of pain and her face and ear are badly swollen.She saw her family doctor today and he said that she does not have an inner ear infection but an outer ear infection which by the way is much worse. He gave her the strongest pain medication that they have without admitting her to the hospital and they also gave her a stronger antibiotic intravenously.  She is seriously ill. If she does not respond to the medication within two days she will be admitted to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment. She may even have to have surgery. The main concern is that it may spread to her brain. I am asking for all of your prayers for Mica. Your prayers have helped many situations in the past and we need them now for Mica. i don’t know , i don’t know…. i saw these little baskets in our base thrift store not too long ago and well… i just had to get them.  i really really like them but i couldn’t think of anything to do with them… i just don’t have a good spot for them… so i stuffed them!  and put em in my shop.  i’ve also been playing around with some old children’s book covers , and making little paintings and collages… today has been another weird weather day too!  little bit of sun, little bit of HAIL!  anyways…. hope your having a crafty crafty day!
