**sorry i just realized that some are confused about what day my b-day is… its the 13th! i posted this on the 13th at 1am my time but DUH wordpress is not on european time!**
i havn’t done an illustration friday for a long time…. the theme this week is fail…. so i did a sketch in my journal and then scanned it and painted it with the gimp program! also its my birthday and funny thing i actually know someone else with the same birthday who has an awsome blog…. so say happy birthday to MICA !!
well i wanted to make somthing tonight…. i did have a little craft show i was going to participate in this saturday but with pink-eye running rampant in my household, that put the craft show on hold. so i still wanted to finish up making the things i was going to make for it… and i wasnt in the mood for painting or anything else, so i made some journals. i cute up lots and lots of watercolors paper and punched the holes in the paper and the chipboard and bound them up with my little bind-it-all. (i love that little machine) so i decided to put them in my SHOP in celebration of making my fourth sale today! yay! :) also i recieved awards from two awsome bloggers…. AMANDA gave me the art prize and award and ALICE gave me the blogging with a purpose award… i don’t think i deserve either but they are so sweet to nominate me…. i dont play the nominate game very well because i think everyone has purpose with their blogs and if you read my “Your Creativity” tab at the top up there then you know i think everyone deserves and art award…. so if you reading this post then I nominate you!
So I wake up this morning and go downstairs to start the coffee and notice that there is an unusual light coming in under the closed curtains…. I take a peek …. and this is what i see….
of course i had to get the kids all dressed up to play in it… because it was their first real time to get to all winter… even though this is GERMANY today was the first real snow day for our little town! at first this made it a good day… but then it gradually became one of those aggrivating days! my little daughter , whose nickname is SMILEY, has pink eye! first time too…. ugh…. but i’m not gonna let any of things get me down…. i wanted to show you what are day looked like today and leave you with two more things… the mary j. blige video “i’m fine” and my little collage entitled “keep the faith” …….
well i’ve made a couple small changes… put my favorite artists list in a new page… its so big i felt it needed its own page. i also keep playing around with things and made a new banner… whaddya think? :) and now i’m just playing around with what i’m posting about… the main piece is called her home… i think i might make a collage from this… i mean a paper one. and then i wanted to show a little sketch for an idea i have for a new mixed-media piece. also have you guys seen the movie… I Am Legend…? i don’t get to go out to see movies , i have to wait till they come out on video… its cheaper and more relaxing this way. anyways i just watched it last night… it was good! :) ****i cant load pictures!!! and wordpress looks weird now! different!!! hellllp!*****

it’s still me! i’ve been meaning to get my hair cut for a long time… this is the longest its ever been… if you look on the side of the blog there you’ll see the old hair-doo…. my hubby loves short hair and i thought i’d send him some teasing pictures in the desert…. :)i really miss that guy…. he’s been gone forever now it seems like and we still about 6mths to go! anyways…. whaddya think?

don’t worry though….this post is not totally without a little art! i joined in on a fun Wizard Of Oz book collaborative…. these are just the bases of what I’m really gonna do… i’m planning to print these out and then embellish them somehow… i don’t know how yet but it will be very cool!
well this is the finished painting of roses that i did for a friend of mine…. i think she likes it! :) and she has a few more she wants me to do for her … i’m excited to do it…. painting is my first love (in art that is)
she would like a painting somthing like the first picture below of a medieval town here in germany…. i guess we’ll see where it goes… i brought the painting to her at church and another friend saw it and is interested in getting a painting as well…. she would like the neuschwanstein castle….
